Come Paint With Me! Three Watercolor Workshops at The Art Room

I have some very exciting news—I’ll be teaching a series of watercolor workshops at The Art Room!

If you’ve ever wanted to try watercolor, get back into painting, or simply spend a few hours doing something creative just for fun, I would love to have you join me.

We’ve put together three different workshops, each with its own little theme and personality. Whether you’re brand new to watercolor or have been painting for years, these classes are designed to be relaxed, approachable, and most importantly, fun. We’ll learn different watercolor techniques along the way, but there’s no pressure to create a “perfect” painting. My hope is that you’ll leave feeling inspired and excited to keep painting.

And because every good painting afternoon deserves a little treat, there will also be tea and cookies!

📷 Polaroid Landscapes Saturday August 29 | 10:00am - 12:30pm

We’re kicking things off with one of my favorite ways to paint landscapes—tiny, nostalgic watercolor scenes inspired by classic Polaroid photographs.

In this workshop, we’ll create a miniature landscape that feels like a little snapshot from a favorite place. We’ll play with watercolor washes, layering, texture, and simple composition while keeping things loose and expressive.

I love the idea of taking something as traditional as a landscape painting and giving it the feeling of a treasured vacation photo tucked into an old photo album.

This class is perfect for anyone who loves traveling, collecting memories, or just wants to spend a few hours painting a tiny world of their own.

🍋 Fruit Botanicals September 20th | 11:00am - 1:30pm

Next up, we’re bringing a little sunshine to the studio with Fruit Botanicals!

We’ll be painting vibrant citrus and elegant pears while exploring some of my favorite watercolor techniques for creating beautiful, dimensional objects.

We’ll work with layering, soft blends, and delicate details to bring our fruit to life. You don’t need to have any botanical painting experience—this workshop is all about slowing down, observing the shapes and colors around us, and enjoying the process.

🍂 Fall Florals October 3rd | 10:00AM-12:30

And finally, we’ll welcome fall with a watercolor bouquet inspired by the colors and textures of the season.

For Fall Florals, we’ll explore loose, expressive watercolor blooms and rich autumn-inspired colors. We’ll talk about how to suggest flowers and foliage with simple brushstrokes rather than trying to paint every tiny detail.

I love florals because they’re such a wonderful way to loosen up with watercolor. There’s room for happy accidents, unexpected color, and lots of personality.

And by the end of the afternoon, you’ll have your own little piece of fall to take home.

Come Paint With Me!

One of my favorite things about teaching art is getting to see how differently everyone approaches the same subject. Even when we’re all given the same colors, brushes, and reference, everyone’s paintings end up with their own personality.

So whether you’re a longtime watercolor painter or someone who has never picked up a brush before, I’d love for you to join me.

We’ll paint, learn some new techniques, drink tea, eat cookies, and hopefully have a really lovely afternoon together.

All three workshops will be held at The Art Room, and all skill levels are welcome.

I hope to see you there! 💛
